Melissa Fergusson launched the charlatan clinic in May 2011 and already they have two successful productions under their belt. The Artefact Project (seen above) is their first foray for 2012 and focuses on the platonic relationship between friends Richard and Ruby at three stages in their lives.
The thinking behind how Melissa creates art aligns really well with the concept of crowdfunding. She thinks of art as something organic and “sees collaboration as key to successful theatre-making”. This is especially true with their PledgeMe project – they need you to help make their production a success! The project is 2/3 funded already – and has 6 more days to go. Do your bit either by pledging or sharing their link on. Every little bit counts! Anything from $10 will get you a magnet to $500 which will buy you the right to star in the show!
Amanda, Dani, Melissa and the team have been working really hard to get their project funded, and when they succeed they’ll be the first theatre project through PledgeMe! We can’t wait to add them to our list of successful projects. Please help us make this happen.
