As much as the weather all round NZ seems to be denying it, we are now officially into the months of Autumn. Soon we’ll have to don beanies and gloves again, and leave our summery selves behind. But for those heading to Taupo, the months of winter don’t have to be dark and bitter – because the One Taupo Charitable Trust has a solution.
Enter the Taupo Winter Festival, a three-day extravaganza of music, food, and family-friendly fun. Offering everything from snow slides to stand up comedy, this festival will be one to remember – and even better, 100% of its profits will go back into the Taupo community! But they need your help to make it happen. We talked to Nicola from the team about what they had planned:
How are you finding the campaign so far?
Loving the campaign. Not only does it give people an easy platform to help us out, but it also acts as great marketing too. Being a first year festival, it is really important to get the word out that it is on as well as raising some funds to make it an awesome line-up. Taking the time to make the Pledge Me video also created the opportunity for a general promo video which will be used a lot in the build up to July.
What have you got planned for the rest of your campaign – anything for us to look forward to?
We have some contracts sitting with us for some pretty cool performers, just waiting for some dollars to be confirmed at our end and we will be signing the dotted line. We will announce this on our facebook page and through Pledge Me as soon as we do!
