The broke but sexy girls did it! They funded the post production costs for their documentary film on kiwi artists in Berlin (including the likes of Ladi6, Cat Ruka, Josh Rutter, Goeff Pinfield and more!), and made a few new friends along the way.
I chatted to Julie after her success, and this is what she told me:
What did you like about pledgeme?
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Anna. The site was straightforward and easy to use.
How did you find the experience?
I had to be convinced to ‘beg’ for money at first but found it such a positive experience that I soon got over myself. Even if we hadn’t reached our goal, it was a great way to publicise the film and get feedback.
Any tips for newbies?
Be clear about what the project is and what the money will be used for. I found sending out personal emails was the best way to get the word out.
Anything you’d change about PledgeMe?
