Glen (aka GJP) used PledgeMe to raise $3000 to head over to New York to fulfill his fashion designer dreams. Well it’s sounds like his dreams are well on the way to becoming reality, if his updates are anything to go by. His first internship at VLP “is going really well. I’ve been taken aboard as print designer for the next season so have been busy with that, as well as many other intern-y things like running all over the place sourcing materials, picking up and dropping off samples to and from the garment district. Everything! Even assisted on a shoot for Barneys.”
Not only that, but Glen has organised to start another internship in the New Year in a company headed by none other than the Olsen twins:
“In January I’ll be starting a new internship with The Row, which if
you don’t know of, is a highly acclaimed brand which received the CFDA
Womenswear Designers of the Year for 2012. It’s also headed by the
Olsen Twins who are the head designers.”
Glen looks like he is well on track to a successful career in the fashion industry and to his pledgers / PledgeMe he says “Thank you so much for your help and everything! This would not have been possible without your website, and I just can’t believe that it’s happened.”
