Attention Wellingtonians! On Thursday 20 June PledgeMe is bringing crowd funding to the crowd. Presenting… THE FUNDER GAMES – may the votes be ever in your favour.
3 projects have 5 minutes each to wow and woo the crowd. The project with the most votes wins the cash prize! Our three inaugural projects are:
1) Sunshine. A beautiful comic by Jem Yoshioka, who needs some extra mullah to help print a first edition of her stunning Wellington-based story.
2) The Whiskey Show, a 3-piece Wellington hard-rock band raising funds to go to Australia to compete in the Battle of the Bands competition – and bring home gold.
3) The Fusion Cube, a community initiative to grow and develop life skills and solid foundations in young people. The funds raised will go towards the first phase of getting it up and running.
Friends, family, randoms, arts advocates, wizards… come along to support these amazing people and their projects. Your money is going to a good cause! And there will be free pizza and live entertainment throughout the evening so why would you not???
$20 entry ($10 of which goes straight into the prize pool for the winning project. The rest goes toward your pizza and beer!)
