Lou’s is passionate about making her own shoes and her dream is to show others the art of shoemaking. With help from 47 pledgers, Lou raised $1792 so she can start teaching others the art of making shoes. This is what she had to say about PledgeMe:
What did you like about pledgeme?
It was really easy to set up the campaign – with clear instructions and great examples to follow. Also really appreciated the advice on how to run my PledgeMe campaign from direct emails.
How did you find the experience?
I’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response and encouragement from Pledgers. I think it was helpful for me personally to make the video telling my story – it made me realise just how far I’d come!
Any tips for newbies?
I think a simple direct video works best. Also I decided to give gift certificates as rewards. The reason I did this is that I thought they’d be appropriate for family and friends that might simply want to help me out, and who may not be motivated by the reward itself. Having said that, I haven’t yet given the gift certificates out, so I may be wrong!
