Volition founder Erika Butters needed to raise funds for her app Volition, which empowers disabled people to be the decision-makers in their own life.
She set a minimum funding target of $40,000 and she and her team were successful, closing at $43,774.
But until the last four days of her campaign, her crowdfund was only 20% funded. She and her team hung in there though and deadline magic (aka: her crowd pledging the funds in the final few days before her deadline) came to the rescue!
In this YouTube video, Erika shares her top two tips for crowdfunding, plus she explains the flow of pledges into her campaign at different stages (or lack of flow at times!).
Though it wasn’t easy, Erika learned some valuable lessons along the way, including how to connect with and build her crowd.
She also had three amazing moments, which are worth learning about in the video!
