We’ve had some changes in our team, so we’re now on the hunt for a new person to join the PledgeMe crew. We’ve written a bit of a description below for the role – but don’t worry if you don’t meet all the criteria. We’d love to hear from you!
Job Description: Campaign & Content Wrangler
Hours: 10-15 hours per week – Must be able to work at least 2 hours per day (Monday to Friday)
Location: Wellington region (though flexibility to work from home most days)
Rate: $30-40 p/h (depending on skills and experience)
PledgeMe is a crowdfunding platform that has a mission to help Kiwi fund the things they care about. With a mission like that, coming to work has a real sense of purpose. We have raised over $75 million to date, with campaigns ranging from solid shampoo bar business Ethique raising the funds they needed to grow (and then sell – making their initial investors a 48x return) to Parrotdog raising $2mil in two days.
Our team truly believes in the change we want to make in the world, and we need a Campaign & Content Wrangler to help us support our rewards-based campaigners, wrangle our inbox, and support with some social media content creation.
Here’s what we’re looking for in the perfect Campaign & Content Wrangler:
- Not afraid to be a bit quirky. We occasionally wear onesies to the office (but only on Wednesdays).
- Attention to detail – passionate about inbox zero (TBH, inbox ten is fine too)
- Tech able. No, you don’t need to be able to code C#, but you should know you should be able to work your way around embed code and google spreadsheets.
- Empathetic. You need to want to help people, and get the best out of every campaign creator that comes through your inbox / our office.
- Able to think on your feet (or office chair). Happy to point out things you think could be improved, then leading the charge to fix ‘em.
What this actually means day-to-day:
- Responding promptly to correspondence regarding projects, an understanding of CRM’s would be a bonus!
- Supporting creators during project creation, and managing all the steps from reviewing initial request to project close out.
- The creation of content around campaigns – ranging from written posts to reels
- Financial management – you may help reconcile pledges, and create payments to be authorised.
- Answering enquiries in a timely manner – and forwarding on when help needed
- Support at events (every few months – it’ll be fun, promise)

- Picking up on the details around what we do on a daily basis, and finding ways to fix or improve our processes.
About you…
- You’re organised and able to prioritise tasks – you will need to be able to operate with minimal management oversight.
- You’re comfortable working with a range of different clients at any one time.
- You’re customer-centric and relish wearing a customer service hat.
- You can provide demonstrated proof of copy and blog writing content, both long and short form.
- When you write, you produce error-free, concise, and clear content.
- You’re visually creative as well as a wordsmith. We’re looking for someone who’d be comfortable using tools such as Canva to create appealing visuals for our channels
- Having video making experience would be advantageous, especially creating reels for social media
What we offer in return
We offer the excitement of working for a stay-up with strong values: supporting transparency and trust, doing well and doing good, constantly evolving and focusing on people.
Flexible hours, we have 3 hours a day of work, but when you work those hours is partly up to you. We just have one required team meeting a week, and would love you to come work in the office with us occasionally if you’re in/around Wellington (with the goal of one full team retreat a year as well).
Required hours may increase over time. If you like the sound of what we do, and feel you have some skills to add, please apply!
$30-40/hour + possibility of shares in addition
How to apply
Fill out this application form with your CV and links of your content by Sunday, 19 October. Feel free to email Anna on anna@pledgeme.co.nz if you have any questions.
