Daily Beats is reviving the lost art of vinyl – with the musical help of their friends Sora Shima, Second Gear Grind, Katie Thompson, Yebiisu, and last but not least Dick Dynamite and the Doppelgängers.
How cool would it be to get a vinyl version of your fave kiwi band? Or copies of ALL of them? No worries if you’re one of the record player less people of the world, we can give you a digital copy of their album too.
So what can you do? Well, instead of buying your morning coffee and scone tomorrow, pledge $10 and get the electronic download of *insert your favorite bands name here*. And, instead of picking up the next round of drinks on your night out on the town, pledge $25 to the cause (and that get’s you the digital copy of not one, not two, but three albums!). For $10 more, you get a vinyl copy of your fave band, which is the epitome of awesome, right?
But we need your help, unless we raise $14,000 in the next 4 weeks this isn’t going to happen. So give a little, and be a part of this crazy little thing we like to call crowdfunding. You know you wanna! Click on the link here to pledge.
Your ever loving,
Pledgeme (and Daily Beat)
This is a good idea in principle, but trying to raise $14,000 seems pretty unrealistic and is probably putting people off who otherwise might have pitched in a little.
Hey there,
We’ve already raised $925, so we’re getting there! One of the biggest crowdfunding project on Kickstarter.com raised over $350k to save a movie “Save Blue like Jazz” – here’s a link to an article about some of the most successful crowdfunding projects to date: http://www.businessinsider.com/kickstarter-success-stories-2010-11?op=1
Hope you can get behind us!
Anna
Well, a similar system at kiva.org has raised US$241 Million for small projects and businesses in poorer countries with people all around the world pledging in $25 increments… so NZ$14,000 doesn’t seem so unrealistic!
